Lenovo debuted at the IFA trade show in Berlin, Germany, its newest members of the K-line of devices. The Lenovo’s K-series of phones is respectively updated with the new K6, K6 Power, and K6 Note units. All of three new phones support 4G LTE network, have a Fingerprint sensor and will start rolling out one by one starting by two weeks from now.
Lenovo K6
The Lenovo K6 comes sporting a 5.0-inch IPS HD display with 1280×720 pixels, features a 13MP main camera on the rear and an 8MP selfie snapper on the front, runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC with four Cortex-A53 CPU cores clocked at 1.5GHz and other four same CPU’s clocked at 1.2GHz, has 2GB of RAM and will come in models with 16GB and 32GB storage. The expandable memory reaches 256GB via a microSD card for both versions of the K6.
Speakers on the K6 are Dolby Atmos, and the phone supports 4G LTE, dual SIM cards, Bluetooth 4.1 and the Fingerprint. The battery unit is a 3,000 mAh.
Lenovo K6 Power
The K6 Power can be seen as an upgraded version of the Lenovo K6, it has an improved 5-inch display of 1920×1080 pixels, runs the same Snapdragon 430 processor and features the same connectivity supports but has more power. While this power may not resemble a more powerful performance, its naming stands for the larger battery capacity. This time, Lenovo brings a larger 4,000 mAh battery to fuel the K6 power. The 4,000 mAh batteries are also pumped through Xiaomi phones as well, this a competitor of Lenovo.
Alongside the two 5-inchers, Lenovo announced a larger, 5.5-inch phone coming branded as the Lenovo K6 Note (upgraded version of the K5 Note). The K6 Note has a 1080p display, sports a 16MP autofocus camera on the rear and an 8MP selfie snapper on the front and has the same processor as its other youngster siblings with the same RAM and storage models.
Even though the K6 Note is a bit larger in size than the K6 Power, Lenovo decided to land to both of the units the same 4,000 mAh battery (this isn’t Lenovo K6 Note Power after all).
Lenovo K6 will be the luckiest of the three new devices to start retailing. K6 will roll out in two weeks for the starting price of $167, the K6 Power in October and the K6 Note in November for $256. Pricing of the K6 Power is not announced, so expect something in between of $167 and $256.
