The Chinese company Elephone has launched a new mobile, we talk about the Elephone A5, a terminal that has a widescreen, a design very similar to the Huawei P20 Pro and a total of 5 cameras, three in the back and two in the front. This A5 also has an eight-core processor and a moderate price. Elephone is not one of the best-known manufacturers in the world market, but the Chinese record has long been promising interesting designs with good performance and certainly attractive prices. ELEPHONE A5 is already listed on their official website and the presales on Gearbest are already up too. The first batch of customers the phone should be available for only $199.99.
The Elephone A5 is a mobile phone very similar to the Huawei P20 Pro, especially on the back. This smartphone has a triple camera located in the upper area and is accompanied by a dual tone LED flash. In addition, it has a bright glass back with a gradient and a somewhat different reflection. In the front area we see a panoramic panel and with hardly any frames. Of course, it has a notch in the upper area for cameras, loudspeakers, and sensors. In this case, the front looks more like the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The fingerprint reader is located on the right side, just below the power button.
As for specifications, Elephone A5 has 6.18-inch FHD+ notch screen with a resolution of 2246 x 1080pixels. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 mid-range chipset. The processor is paired with 4GB of RAM and there is 64GB of internal storage onboard. The Elephone A5 gets its juice from a massive 4000mAh battery which will surely offer an extended battery life. Other perks include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and Lumia gradient back color. The triple rear camera configuration include a 12.0MP + 5.0MP + 0.3MP while at the front is a 20.0MP + 2.0MP selfie camera combo. On the software end, the A5 comes packing the latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system which is pretty impressive.
The Elephone A5 is now available for pre-order on GearBest with a price tag of $199.99 for the early birds. Presales will be up from December 3rd to December 16th and it’s already listed on the Gearbest e-shop. Apparently, there will be two versions for EU and non-EU countries, most probably due to some certification issues.
