Samsung‘s 7nm LPP process has been put into mass production. Undoubtedly, its next-generation mobile SoC and Qualcomm’s 5G baseband chips will be the first to ship.
Korean media ETnews reported that Samsung will integrate dual-core NPU units on the next-generation 7nm Exynos flagship chip, and it is the second generation product, which greatly enhances the load capacity and processing speed of the AI ?? scene.
It is reported that Samsung has already developed the first generation of NPU, and the Exynos 7 9610 was first integrated at the beginning of the year.
In addition, the dual-core NPU will add color to the ISP (image processor) of the Galaxy S10, further enhancing the experience of taking pictures, video recording, voice control, and other functions.
At present, competitors Huawei, Apple, etc. are all on the NPU. Taking the A12 chip as an example, the NPU is upgraded to 8 cores and can process 5 trillion times per second, which makes the Face ID unlock, photographing, and system running speed upgrade to different degrees.
