Huawei’s feature-rich new Mate 20 Pro seems to be designed to bring together the best of all the other flagship products on the market and combine them into one powerful feature of the phone.
It is definitely inspired by Apple’s iPhone X. Just like Apple’s bold redesign, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a wide position at the top of the screen. It has a camera and a dedicated sensor that can be used for security purposes in a wide and fast way. Animated emoji and more. The overall design is also very grateful to Apple.
In view of all this, how does Huawei Mate 20 Pro compare with Apple’s current iPhone XS? This is my idea, now I have compared these two new phones. After reading it, you will understand!
Design
As mentioned above, Huawei Mate 20 Pro has inspired iPhone X from many other Android phones in the past few months. The top screen cuts are equally sized to provide real estate for cameras and sensors.
However, although the bottom “chin” bezel of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro is slimmer than some competitors, it does not exactly match the iPhone XS, and the iPhone XS retains the same number of ultra-small borders. Apple is the only company that seems to have adopted this design approach, and it must be related to the money you pay for this design. However, Mate does have more curve appeal.
On the back, we say that Huawei Mate 20 Pro has more attractive options, whether it is a new version of the Huawei P20 Pro brilliant gradient, or a new Hyper Optical Pattern etching. Apple sticks the glass with the original color on the back, which is good but hard to draw the attention of the user.
In addition, the higher-priced iPhone XS chooses smooth stainless steel along the frame, while the Huawei Mate 20 Pro uses an aluminum alloy, just like most mobile phones today. Both are good for, we must praise it.
Screen: Both Are Beautiful
The iPhone XS screen is even better than its predecessors, maintaining the same 5.8-inch and 1125p resolutions, but with a 60% increase in dynamic range. Therefore, the OLED panel looks very wonderful, colorful and high definition.
At the same time, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro uses a larger OLED panel at 6.39 inches and selects a higher Quad HD (1440p) resolution for booting. The 1080 screen of Huawei P20 Professional looks beautiful at the beginning of this year, which is worse than the resolution of mate 20 Pro.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is clearer but larger. At this resolution, the pixel difference per inch between it and the iPhone XS is not obvious. These are excellent screens and are now one of the best screens on the market.
In addition, in addition to the judgment, please note that the Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a hidden function: a fingerprint sensor inside the display to read your unique biometric signature on the screen. Pair with facial security, you must hurry to unlock your phone.
Camera: Three Or Two
The Huawei P20 Pro offers the best smartphone shooting experience on the market for most of the year, thanks to its three-camera settings, offering stunning detail and 3x optical zoom and 5x hybrid zoom. We think it’s even better than the iPhone XS in this regard, even though it’s just a smile.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro is even better. It comes with three cameras, but it’s not a monochrome sensor, but a 20MP super wide-angle camera with a 40MP wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. Compared to the P20 Pro, the added advantages include better close-up shooting and of course improved wide-angle shooting, as well as its amazingly powerful night shots.
For its part, Apple uses a dual 12MP pixel to create a miracle, providing 2x optical zoom, plenty of detail and strong contrast in the photo. Of course, the two-lens method allows for portraits with background blur and bokeh, and now you can change the blur/bokeh level with the impressive slider feature.
In addition, the Smart HDR feature captures multiple consecutive shots and combines them to provide a more powerful effect, pulling out improved highlights and shadows. All in all, this is the best two mobile phones of its kind this year, but the extra benefits and advantages of Huawei Mate 20 Pro help it stand out from the competition.
In the front, both phones have a camera and sensor that can scan your face in three dimensions, providing detailed results for facial safety, animated emoji, and more. It has proven to be fast and efficient on both phones.
Performance: Strong
This is the first two phones on the market to use a 7-nanometer manufacturing process. Apple’s first A12 Bionic is a speed demon – it took over the market that its predecessor, A11 Bionic, still ruled after a year.
So what about Huawei’s Kirin 980 chip? Again, it’s very smooth with the onboard Android 9 Pie-powered EMUI 9.0, and it’s possible to go beyond Apple’s hardware in everyday tasks.
In other words, Phone Arena’s benchmarks show that Apple’s A12 Bionic is at the forefront of every comparison they make… in some cases, it has improved dramatically. Even Samsung’s Exynos 9810-powered Galaxy Note 9 is ahead of Kirin 980 in some tests, but not in other tests. Huawei’s latest chip may be very fast, but it is not unilaterally damaging Android competitors… not to mention iOS games.
In Conclusion
We like the Apple iPhone XS. This is not a dramatic upgrade to the iPhone X, but last year Apple made an impressive move. It’s all about improvement and enhancement, it’s definitely nails.
Even with so much, Huawei Mate 20 Pro is leading the battle. It builds on the core DNA of the brilliant P20 Pro but then adds design touches, upgrades the screen, reduces more power, and enhances the camera settings for category shooting.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro seems to be more in line with our daily use, and the cost performance is also very high, so I personally think: Huawei Mate 20 Pro is the most suitable mobile phone for the Chinese people, iPhone XS series to add dual card dual standby function for grounding gas, or Feeling lacking in new ideas. What do you think?
