Actually, it should take a good week, but already the new OnePlus 6T has just turned up at a German dealer including all the details. Otto also already announces a price on his website: 579 Euro (about $661) should cost the high-end smartphone equipped with a 6.41-inch display and Waterdrop-Notch in Germany at least.
The OnePlus 6T will, as expected, be equipped with a good 6.4-inch AMOLED display that resolves to 2340 x 1080 pixels. The images also confirm that the device, as we reported a few weeks ago, is equipped with a built-in fingerprint reader directly below the surface of the screen. The fingerprint reader disappears accordingly from the back. The unit’s pixel density is stated to be 402 PPI, while a cover made from the new Gorilla Glass 5 provides quite a bit of scratch and impact resistance.
Even in the basic version, the OnePlus 6T already has a total of 8GB of RAM, while the internal Flash memory based on UFS 2.1 with 128GB capacity is doubled compared to its predecessor. The expansion of the memory using MicroSD card slot will be readily possible. As processor here is the current Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Octa-core SoC in use, which works as usual with up to 2.8 GHz.
On the back of the OnePlus 6T, there are two camera sensors in a Dualcam unit with F / 2.0 aperture, one with 16 megapixels, while the second sensor has 20MP. Which kind of the optics of the sensors is, is still open, whereby one can presume probably from a wide angle and a normal sensor. In the “drop of water” notch on the front here is a single camera with 16MP resolution. Incidentally, the earpiece sits in the narrow slot directly above it.
As expected, the battery of the OnePlus 6T will be generously dimensioned at 3700mAh, whereby the power supply via Qualcomm QuickCharge should be very fast. This is served by a USB 3.1-capable USB Type-C port. The device weighs 185grams and is 8.2mm thick. The operating system is probably Android 9.0 “Pie”, although Otto still speaks of Android 8.1 “Oreo”. Other features of the OnePlus 6T available in “Midnight Black” and “Mirror Black” include Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC as well as two NanoSIM card slots.
The introductory price for the OnePlus 6T with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM is called the German dealer 579 euros (about $661) which the manufacturer, although far from his “super-hardware ultragünstig” logic adopted, but at least the memory properly increased. The official presentation of the OnePlus 6T will take place on October 29, 2018.
