The folks at XDA Developers have hit, revealing the first details about the next-generation flagship processor from Qualcomm. Apparently, it would not be called Snapdragon 850, but Snapdragon 8150. We have details about the CPU and the Samsung Winner foldable phone below.
The XDAs have explored basic files from Android 9.0 Pie, the build for the Galaxy S9 and S9 +. Well, the code mentions 4 models of the Galaxy S10 and a 5th with the code name “Winner”.
This is the foldable terminal that Samsung has been working on for so long. We’re waiting for it by the end of this year, and unfortunately, we have no more information than a code name with “_us” in the queue, so it could be a variant for the US market, but it’s not even sure.
SamsungNewer rumors that the terminal would cost around $2000 would also be an exclusive product with limited availability. The other code escape and something more interesting has to do with the future Snapdragon flagship processor. This is not Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, as we would have thought, but the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8510. The processor would have been tested on those Galaxy S10 models unveiled by XDA.
It would be the first time many years after Qualcomm changed the numbering of its processors. It is very possible that this change also comes from a combo with the 5G Snapdragon X50 modem offered in the package. This CPU should eventually come with its own NPU dedicated to AI, following the model of Apple Axx or Huawei Kirin.
The source also writes that the production of the flexible Smartphone could begin in November and he will have a Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 on the inside. It should have a diagonal of 7 inches fully unfolded.
