The Google Pixel Slate Notebook appeared on Geekbench’s running library. According to the data on Geekbench, the Pixel Slate will be equipped with the Intel Core i7-8500Y processor instead of the ARM chip on the Chromebook.
It is understood that the 8th-generation Intel dual-core processor is part of the company’s Amber Lake series, which uses a low-power 5-watt design. At the same time Pixel Slate is also expected to be equipped with 16GB of memory, although not as powerful as the chip on Pixelbook, this choice will make Pixel Slate more cost-effective.
In addition, the code submission indicates that the Pixel Slate will run dual systems (Windows 10 and Android 9 Pie). As a guess, adding Windows means that Pixel Slate can run three different operating systems: Windows, Chrome OS, and Android. The Intel chipset not only provides the Pixel Slate with the performance it needs but also provides users with a smooth Chrome OS while taking into account Windows compatibility.
