LG‘s two latest high-end smartphones have not been commercial successes on the French market. The LG V30 arrived too late, and the LG G7 ThinQ has not been a priority in Europe for the Korean manufacturer. LG should, however, market its next flagship named V40 ThinQ, “ThinQ” being the denomination contiguous to all connected LG products.
Today, we learn more about the 5 V40 ThinQ cameras thanks to the Evan Blass leaker. Obviously, the document he provided us is to be taken with tweezers, but Evan Blass is a serious source. The V40 ThinQ should, therefore, be equipped with 5 cameras, 3 at the rear and 2 at the front.
At the back, we should find the wide-angle camera that we know since the LG G5. At his side, a so-called tele-zoom camera, just like what Apple and Samsung offer. Finally, the standard camera accompanies the other two cameras.
At the front, there are two cameras: the standard, but also the wide-angle. This is a formula that is already known on many smartphones and very convenient for group selfies. For the rest, the V40 ThinQ would be equipped with a 6.4-inch screen with a notch, SoC Snapdragon 845 backed by 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage, as well as a battery of 3300mAh.
In the meantime, LG has already started teasing its smartphone. A video released Thursday on YouTube also confirmed the 5 photosensors on the smartphone. Exact technical details are still missing.
One can be curious how the sensors will work together and what the camera software offers. I’ll let you surprise me if you can get the quality of a P20 Pro. The LG V40 ThinQ will be equipped with a stacked screen and will be launched on October 4th.
