Doogee S70 the first rugged smartphone gaming literally hit Indiegogo, collecting more than $50K in 15 days from around 200 supporters and tripling the initial target (+ 291%). This is an excellent result, which is proud of the Chinese company and the same crowdfunding platform, which has rewarded this smartphone as “favorite product of the Indiegogo team”.
The campaign will be active for 13 days, so if you like the idea and want to save a few tens of euros, do not think too much and give your contribution.
Sales have a good pace and are constantly increasing: Doogee S70 costs $299 and the gamepad is included. According to the funds raised and an online survey, this smartphone has conquered especially the young, these users who have a lively and stimulating lifestyle. And there are at least three good reasons, so their choice falls on a Doogee S70:
- The “armored” look expresses virility and strength, especially in outdoor sports
- The rugged-phone combo and gamepad also satisfy the players
- The IP68 and IP69K certifications satisfy the most clumsy users, but above all those who work in extreme environments
Doogee S70 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio P23 (MT6763T) octa-core processor up to 2.3GHz with 770MHz ARM Mali G71 dual-core graphics, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM expandable with a microSD card slot up to 256GB.
The 5.99-inch Full HD + IPS screen (2160 x 1080 pixels, 403 PPI) 2.5: 18: 9 2.5D makes room for a 16MP front-facing camera (f / 2.2 aperture) and LED flash, while two 12MP cameras take place on the back + 5MP with dual LED flash and dual PDAF technology to focus on two subjects in the first and second floor.
The 5500 mAh battery should guarantee 2-3 days of battery life (even if the use scenario is not specified) and support the wireless charging over the rapid MediaTek Pump Express 3.0 through the USB Type-C with a 12V / 2A power supply.
Face ID technology is missing, but the company has not given up the integration of a fingerprint reader on the back. The rest of the data sheet is standard: Doogee S70 supports 4G-LTE networks thanks to the combined slot (SIM cards + memory cards), WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS and NFC in addition to the various sensors (brightness, proximity, gyroscope, accelerometer, compass). It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.
Doogee has completed the development of the smartphone and is now engaged in software optimization. For those who participated in the Indiegogo campaign, deliveries are scheduled for November.
