In addition to the Mate 20 Pro, the Chinese manufacturer Huawei also seems to be launching a lite version of its second high-end series this year – the Mate 20 Lite. So far, only a few rumors and information have been published on the smartphone lightweight. This is changing drastically. Not long ago, Mate 20 Lite appeared in the TENAA to obtain a network access license, and the MG logo (the overseas version is the HUAWEI logo) behind it also confirmed the above speculation.
The probable Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro promise sparks thanks to the new SoC Kirin 980, but with them will come, as usual, a mid-range smartphone, ready to ride the wave of success of the noblest brothers. And with Mate 20 Lite the show of rumors and leaks comes alive: Winfuture released a series of renderings attributed to this smartphone, along with the possible technical specifications.
The back of Mate 20 Lite is very similar in design to Mate 10 Pro, with a glass surface, the dual camera vertically aligned to the fingerprint reader. The profile will be metallic, while at the front here is the now omnipresent ( for Huawei especially ) notch, to interrupt the continuity of the 6.3 “LCD full HD + display.
The SoC should be the new Kirin 710 that is supported by eight cores and clocks up to 1.7 GHz (four cores) and up to 2.2 GHz (four cores). In terms of memory, the Huawei Mate 20 Lite will probably be equipped with up to 6GB of RAM and internal memory up to 64GB, A possibility of expanding the memory using SD card, there is likely to be no more. Four cameras in total, with two rear photosensors of 20MP (f / 1.8) and 2MP, while the front 24MP and 2MP. The battery should be 3650mAh, despite a 7.6 mm thickness and a total weight of 172 grams.
According to company procedure, Huawei’s Lite series will be listed in China as Maimang. For example, in 2017 Huawei Mate 10 Lite (Chinese Version) was listed as Maimang 6. So, this year’s Huawei Mate 20 Lite should correspond to Maimang 7.
Important news also on the possible launch on the market, expected (according to rumors ) already at the end of August, with prices around $400. Huawei Mate 20 Lite will anticipate the big brothers a lot, or does Huawei intend to draw its axes earlier than in the past, to clash even more directly with rivals?
