The Mexican division of LG Electronics registered the LG V90 brand at IMPI (Mexico’s Industrial Property Institute) on July 13, granting the South Korean the right to use that nomenclature in a top-of-the-line lineup.
One of the last laptops launched in the V line of LG was the V35 ThinQ, its successor would arrive, chronologically, like the V40 ThinQ, but until then, the mark has not even been registered. With the IFA 2018 approaching, starting on August 31, we should stay on top of LG’s future plans for its premium line of Smartphones.
The current line tops of the brand, the G7, and V35 ThinQ, ended up having their launches postponed, not being announced at MWC 2018 in Barcelona – while the new model, I’m still not sure if it will, in fact, be announced in the next to final of the next month.
In terms of hardware, it must rely on the Snapdragon 845 chip, discarding the LCD screen through an OLED panel produced by LG itself, as well as including interesting features such as a set of three cameras on the back and face recognition sensors similar to Face ID on the front. It is suggested that LG intends to release a Smartphone that will compete with Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
