Last week we met a new model of the Chinese brand, which appeared on the TENAA website with lots of images and technical data. The specifications suggest that it is the new Xiaomi Mi Max 3 and now, new rumors suggest that it is also a larger version, called Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Pro.
According to a report on Weibo, the Pro model would have appeared by mistake on the Chinese portal of Xiaomi. The image at the top shows us a device with a design similar to that seen on the TENAA website, even if in this case the frames are better optimized. The alleged Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Pro would be equipped with “upgraded” hardware, with onboard a Snapdragon 710 (octa-core up to 2.2 GHz), 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Battery, display, and camera (a Sony IMX363 sensor) would match the TENAA device labeled M1804E4T. In this case, however, we would be dealing with an octa-core SoC up to 1.8 GHz. As usual, it is good to take this news with a hint of skepticism, at least until the official launch of the device. According to Lei Jun, the Mi Max 3 should see the light in July and ergo would not miss much to the presentation.
