Asus took the opportunity of a great showcase like the Mobile World Congress, which took place last February in Barcelona, to launch the ZenFone 5 series, consisting of ZenFone 5Z, ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 5 Lite. As for one of these laptops, or the Asus ZenFone 5Z, the Taipei house has announced that the launch of this product on the Japanese market is scheduled for Friday, June 15th. The smartphone is available for pre-order on the Asus website and is available in two color options: Space Silver and Shiny Black. The Asus ZenFone 5Z will be launched in Japan at a price of 75,384 yen (about $682) and for now, only the 6GB RAM / 128GB storage option has been listed.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Asus ZenFone 5Z has the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and sports a 6.2-inch full-HD display (1080 × 2246 pixels). The smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with AIE (Artificial Intelligence Engine) and Adreno 630 GPU.

It has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space in the base model, while another version is characterized by 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage space. Finally, the main model has up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory.
The Asus ZenFone 5Z comes with a dual rear camera. The main camera has a 12MP Sony IMX363 sensor coupled with f / 1.8 aperture and LED flash, while the secondary camera is coupled with an 8MP sensor, a 120-degree wide-angle lens and an aperture f / 2.2. The front camera has a resolution of 8MP, with aperture f / 2.0. The new ASUS device also has a 3300mAh battery that supports AI charging technology.
