AnTuTu has unveiled the Top 10 most powerful Android smartphones of May 2018. This month, the OnePlus 6 dominates the rest of the rankings, with performance well above the competition. The top of May also confirms the hegemony of Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC.
In April 2018, the top 10 most successful Android smartphones at AnTuTu was dominated by a newcomer: the Xiaomi Black Shark, the gaming smartphone equipped with a Snapdragon 845 processor. With its powerful Snapdragon 845 processor, its 6GB of memory fast and its multilayer cooling system, the terminal outclassed the Galaxy S9 / S9 +.
In May, the gaming smartphone was outdone by the OnePlus 6 and SoC Snapdragon 845. Unveiled May 16, the OnePlus 6 is one of the fastest gears of this year. According to AnTuTu benchmarks, the OnePlus 6 is even 30% faster than the iPhone X, the powerful Apple smartphone. Last year, the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T were already among the fastest smartphones of 2017. It will be recalled that the two flagships were still present last month in the top 10 of AnTuTu, despite their SoC Snapdragon 835.
Here are the top 10 most powerful Android smartphones in the AnTuTu ranking of May 2018:
- OnePlus 6 (Snapdragon 845)
- Smartisan R1 (Snapdragon 845)
- Xiaomi Black Shark Gaming (Snapdragon 845)
- Samsung Galaxy S9 + (Snapdragon 845)
- Samsung Galaxy S9 (Snapdragon 845)
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S (Snapdragon 845)
- Nubia Red Magic (Snapdragon 835)
- Huawei Mate 10 Pro (Kirin 970)
- Huawei Mate 10 (Kirin 970)
- Honor View 10 (Kirin 970)
Just below the OnePlus 6 is the Smartisan R1, a Chinese smartphone equipped with Snapdragon SoC, 6GB / 8GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. In 3rd place, we find the Black Shark, followed by the Samsung Galaxy S9 (Snapdragon model), the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S and Nubia Red Magic, the ZTE gaming smartphone.

The last places in this top 10 are occupied by 3 devices equipped with a SoC Kirin 970 dedicated to artificial intelligence: the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, the Mate 10 and the Honor V10. Note also the rather surprising lack of Huawei P20, also equipped with a Kirin 970 and released last March. From next month, we expect the arrival of the Xiaomi Mi 8 shattering in the rankings.
