Before this, there has been plenty of reports that this year BlackBerry will release its new Smartphone with a full keyboard that will be a successor of KEYone. Recently the BlackBerry officially announced at the Weibo, that it’ll hold a new product launch meeting for KEY2 at 9:30 am on June 8th in the Darma Center, Beijing. Yesterday, KEY2 has also opened a blind agreement in JD.
In fact, a few days ago, the BlackBerry was already making a comeback for the new device. On may 29th, the Blackberry official posted a promotional video and brought surprises to some “berry friends” and passers-by. However, Blackberry also sold a cover, the location of the new phone in the video was covered. but friends who have contacted phones in the video have also stated that the it “has a keyboard” and “is not a KEYone”.
According to the news of the official warm-up video, the KEY2 features the BlackBerry’s iconic physical full keyboard and uses a dual rear camera design, built-in messenger application supported by the BlackBerry Hub, preloaded Privacy Shade, and a new application drawer shortcut the way.
We learned from Geekbench that the BlackBerry KEY2 may have 2 versions, low and high-end, and the low-end version is equipped with a Snapdragon 450 8-core processor with 4GB of RAM. The high version is equipped with a Snapdragon 660 coupled with 6GB of RAM.
