Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) tablet has been certified again, with the upcoming mid-range tablet having been certified by SGS Fimko in Switzerland and Safety Korea in South Korea. The latter also posted photos of the actual device, showing no changes to its front design.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite series was originally released in 2020 and updated in 2022, and this update is expected to focus on chip and operating system upgrades as before.
In the past few weeks, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) has appeared in the FCC (US), UL (Denmark), BIS (India) and Global Certification Forum databases. Recently, it appeared again on the websites of Safety Korea and SGS Fimko, this time certified for a Wi-Fi version, model SM-P620. The 4G version is SM-P625, and the 5G version (if available) may be SM-P627.
Photos of the device released by the Korea Safety Certification Agency show that the front design of the device is the same as that of the original Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. The screen has a wide bezel and a front-facing camera at the top. The tablet measures about 245mm x 155mm in length and width, which is basically the same as the 244.5 x 154.3 x 7 mm of the previous two generations of models.
SGS Fimko’s certification information also confirms that the battery capacity and charging speed of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) remain unchanged, with a 6840mAh battery (rated capacity) and 15W (9V / 1.67A) wired charge.
The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) will be shipped with Android 14 pre-installed and equipped with Samsung’s Exynos 1280 processor. In addition, it will also be upgraded to Bluetooth 5.3, which is an improvement over the previous two generations of Bluetooth 5.0, and other configurations may remain unchanged.
There are rumors that Samsung will start the tablet in Europe at 429 euros (about 3,355 yuan) or more. All but the lowest-equipped Wi-Fi version is expected to be priced lower than the 2022 version.
