Xiaomi has improved one of its best-selling speakers in China. This speaker is the one that had already been in the market for a few years and Xiaomi has decided to give it new features.
This new version has been improved by adding the Xiaomi AI which Chinese users can engage in conversation with the AI by pressing the microphone button. In addition, the function of Bluetooth 5.0 has been added to this speaker so that two speakers can be connected for audio playback. Xiaomi shows how, thanks to the Bluetooth button, two speakers can be paired, thus achieving the stereo sound.
Inside there are two 3W (36 mm circumference) power speakers together with a sound of 77dB and 4Ω. It has a 3.5mm jack cable input to perform the Auxiliary function as well as the Bluetooth 5.0 that allows the connection of two speakers for simultaneous playback.
As for autonomy, we have a 1500mAh battery at 3.8V. This speaker results in 8 hours of uninterrupted audio playback if the volume is at 70% capacity. On one side we have the microphone button, the Micro USB charging input as well as the 3.5mm auxiliary input.
On the opposite side is the power button with Play function and the volume up and volume down buttons as well as the battery indicator and Bluetooth connection. The price of this new speaker of Xiaomi is 169 yuan (about $23) and it will be sold in China in three colors being red, light blue and creamy brown. We hope to find it soon for sale in Chinese resellers.
